There's very little objective balance from the negative side. Reviewers tend to write about CDs they like, and if you bounce a CD around long enough you're bound to find someone who likes it. All Music Guide does try to be a bit more objective, but even they have an overabundance of of positive reviews. It's best to take reviews with some reservation unless you know you share common ground with the reviewer. Herm - ElectricBlues.com |
Nice introspective in to the review world there.
I have a few reviewers that I have compared my tastes with enough to use their opinion. They are all in the extreme metal scene, so I was out in the cold here with Jonny Lang.
The only reason I bought the Lie to Me cd was because a guy at work had me listen to it one day. I haven't worked with that guy again in a long time. I don't know if he would have this other album or not. I doubt that he does since he never mentioned it when he intoduced me to this one.
