Durable and portable mini-to-mini cable?

I've owned several of these cables, and every one of them seems to break in a few months of usage. Even the P-to-S cable I bought from someone here lost signal after a few months.
I use these cables for my MP3 player and headphone amp. The cables seem to wear quite rapidly when I just carry them around in my pocket.

What's a decent cable for under $25 that can withstand such torture? It doesn't have to be a high grade cable, as I'm not able to distinguish the difference between a radioshack cable and a high quality cable. I just need it to be durable.

Recommendations?

The Cardas cables offered at Headroom are under $20, and looks durable.

I guess I'd have to ask exacty how are the cables wearing?

Perhaps investing an an inexpensive carrying case, such as those for smaller point-&-shoot digital cameras, would improve longevity of your gear?

I was a heartbeat away from purchasing that until I saw that the shipping is $10!

Are there any other places to buy it?

try some random ones off ebay. i dont get how you're breaking them. i have a couple DIY cables and a ohlebach. i carry them on my metal belt, outside my backpack. always rubbing on jeans and well, i haven't had any of them die on me yet. perhaps you can look at getting some 90degree heads if you're bending them too much?

I bought a really cheap 1.5" Mini-Mini cable off of eBay for 1.99 that I was using for awhile and it was durable. I am using my LOD now but if you don't really care about quality just buy one off of eBay.
