I've heard these speakers (and a few others) in the Apple store on a limited basis. I have a good home headphone set-up (say, 320kbps import on a Classic 80gb, AKG 701s, SR-71, and line-out; songs sound really good to me with this set-up or something similar). But sometimes I want to play the IPOD on a speaker system --- preferably somewhat small and portable. Excluding really high end stuff and 2.1 systems, these speakers seem to be among the best. The HK is more portable, seems to have a ton of bass/volume, and a better soundstage. The George might have better treble on some songs (e.g., even less tinny). More significantly, the George has an excellent AM/FM system, alarm clock function, a very good detachable remote, and bass/treble adjustment controls. With a 15% discount on the George as well as a recent price drop, prices are close.

The AM/FM radio (and being a complete package) is a selling point for the George and the better portability is a selling point for the Play+Go. But at the end of the day, sound quality and enjoyment will probably win the day with me. Anyone making a similar decision or have an opinion one way or the other on either of these? Or should I look at something else --- cheaper (say, a smaller $150 system with FM and rechargeable battery?) or look a bit higher up for the food chain --- say the Geneva Labs Model L or M? (Something such as the Klipsch iFi is probably bigger than what I am looking for.)
