Trends UD10 power supply

Any suggestions on how to make a bigger power supply for my Trends UD10? The optional rechargeable battery pack uses 4 x 1.2 volt/2300Ah AA batteries. The problem is the battery pack doesn't even last 1 whole day. Therefore I'm charging the batteries sometimes a couple times a day. Too much hasle. I'm hoping to build something that will at least last a few day but still provide the proper 5v (or 4.8v as the batteries indicate). Does anybody have a good suggestion on how to do this. I've been looking at the big lead-acid batteries, but they are all 6 or 12v. which won't easily work.

Please someone help me out with a fix for this.

Build an amb sigma-11 PSU, very quiet (maybe quieter than batteries).
