great pics. loved the commentary (they sound good just sitting in the box!). i'm tempted to buy a woo amp just to get one of those fancy wooden boxes. the man knows how to pack stuff. others could learn from him. i too just recently listened to this combo and it sounded very good. another headfier who had extensive K1000 experience said that the WA5/K1000 combo was probably top 5 for that headphone. i believe him. enjoy.

If you have anything plugged into these holes. ^^^^^^^

It will go POP very loud and your phones will cry....

And if you have those phones on you head, you will cry too

My next (extended) project is proper amplification for my K1000. would appreciate your longer term impressions/experience with K1000/W5

I was told the pop is harmless but you don't want the K1000 on when you do it. I should have warned you. Sorry about that. Also, power down when switching from K1000/speaker to Hi/Lo headphones. I was told that it will be easier on the tubes. It is a special amp, especially with the K1000 but in the end my first priority was speakers and this sale permitted to max out my speaker rig.

beautiful, indeed! if i were in the market for tubes for my k1000 i think the wa5 would be at or near the top of my list...seems very versatile. (i know the smileys aren't working, but what the heck...)

The Woo 5 amp will defintely be my next amp purchase. Hopefully by summer 2008. I love the design. It's like the Harley Davidson of amps. I enjoyed listening to it at the previous meet.
