Just curious about this concept. Why introduce more electronic components into the chain?

living in the unfortunate U.K (referring to the customs imposed) which added nearly $200USD to the cost, meaning a grand total of $1050 for the ALO se dock.

what do you mean?

edit: ahh i think i get you now, yes they are the main phones i use with that rig, as they afre the most detailed, sterile and resolving true to reproduction IEMS out there, i am not a bass head at all, and if you were to listen to my rig the way i have it you would probably fall into a treble induced coma of sorts, its is very upfront and non-coloured.

if i want a bit more bass and warmth - i turn to my modded grado 325i's

because with OIMPS and teflon v-caps the sound never felt so good!!

i look at it like a water treatment works;

the uncleaned raw water with all its bits in flows in from the estuary/river, the treatment works filters, cleans, improves the water, it then pushes it out via the water pipe system to our homes with a high percentage of sucess, its improved, its cleaner, its purer and we drink it withut batting an eyelid.

this is what the v-cap does to an audio signal. its a hardware DSP! improving spacial perception, imaging, clarity and other critical listening nuances

oil and teflon are just a few of the better materials that effect audio this way.

Doesn't the signal then go back through an amp?
