I have this uncomfortable feeling that it will be something like a "12.3 seven dimensonal interspace multichannel sound adventure" device that has very little to do with audiphile sound quality......

Somehow I fear this could be true.

Even though I doubt that I'd purchase it, this is still an interesting happening.

A better noise canceling attempt maybe? I only want an HD800. It seems to be going is this direction too from most actual evidence for speculation. (Price drops, some really great rumors possibly from Senn Canada representive that seem to be more and more likely)

I just want a newer flagship product...I will purchase it sooner (if it is immediately affordable) or later (as I save up for it). It would come to me one way or another if I want it bad enough

My only condition is that it must sound good, and if it is a flagship product from Sennheiser, that could very well be true.

I just about pulled the trigger twice last week on some 650's. I called Headroom for their "Call For A Lower Price" price. (I was so busy that the first time I called just before they were open, and the second time I called after they had closed for the Christmas holidays...) Then, I stumbled on this thread. I guess that I'll be waiting for awhile now...

So far, this thread has mentioned:

- New electrostatics

- New IEM's

- Co-development with another corporate partner.

Turns out, you're all right— introducing the Gradoheiser 753 & 1/2, the electrostatic in-ear monitor that feeds off the supplied combination amp/sunhat.
The perfect mini-cans for that splendid walk in the park. With 600 watts of ear-splitting power right on your noggin, better hope it doesn't rain!

You forgot bone-conduction...though mixing bone-conduction with an electrostat doesn't sound too pleasant

I have a feeling that we'll be disappointed by what Sennheiser unveils, but I'd love to be surprised and proven wrong.

My money (but not spending) is on a portable player.

Sennheiser will enter the speaker market.

Although I have high hopes a new flagship fullsize cans will be annouced, I won't hold my breath.
