Sound quality is the whole reason of getting a DAP, you listen to music on a digital AUDIO player.
The features are just a +, so the quality should be considered before features.

Now I know the touch is really cool, because I've played with it and love the feel of it.
That's actually the first ipod that I actually like, the rest are crap.
The classic is only good for thousands upon thousands of songs and hundreds of videos, and good for putting games and stuff on it in ums mode, nano...is just good for being 6.5 mm thin.
And seriously, I've held a 2nd gen nano and I felt like I would accidently break it, even though it has metal plating.

The only thing I would do with a touch would be to play with wifi and other hacked features.
Other than that, paying $400 for wifi internet isn't worth it for me.

When you have a forum called anythingbutroundwheels.com and a person asks what car should I buy to get from home to work and work to home daily? Should people suggest square wheels? Or perhaps they should say. Well in your case you would be better suited by a car with round wheels, but you if really want square wheels here are the better choices.... Interesting, I find iTunes is a *good* thing. Alternatives are WMP11? iTunes wins every time. I do not like managing my music files myself and I prefer itunes to other solutions. Also because in the real world the protocol has been reverse engineered there are billion of ways to use it without itunes on any operating system of choice. Also it works as a UMS device that can be used for storage which is helpful because iPods as of late have been the leaders of their size-class for capacity.

Yes you're correct. However at this time in the real world the alternatives are:

1. No browser at all
2. A dream that a device (YP-P2) might at some point have a we browser
3. Opera on a PDA (like X50v) is a horrible HORRIBLE expirence comparing to safari on the iphone/itouch.
4. Jailbroken ipod touch can easily download files by the way.... or do anything a pda can.

True no 3G yet. Same specs? I am confused in what way does iPhone have the same specs? I owned a lot of smart-phones before the iPhone. iPhone BLOWS them all away easily. I had SE T616, SE T637, HTC Typhoon, SE K512, HTC Apache, HTC Touch. All of those are junk comparing to the iphone. They're all a pita in real use! Where iPhone is pure joy. But I understand that you at most have played with the device for maybe 30min and have very little clue at how good the iPhone is. On the other hand spec sheets are very impressive and you can buy a device based on it.. enjoy your whatever.

Get a job so you can afford all these great devices and whine about itouch cost!

Call me crazy; but when a person signs onto a site called "Anything But iPod", creates a thread asking for DAP recommendations stating he does not want an iPod, is it at all possible that maybe he does not want an iPod? Wouldn't that make your recommendation that he get an iPod undesired, irrelevant, and unwarranted?

Instead of taking a hint when this fact was brought to your attention, you decided to attack members and get into arguments with the staff, resulting in the closure of at least two threads.

Interesting that you're saying that you make more money then me and yet whine about iPhone being expensive. Oh wait.. you're in norway? That means you don't have easy access to an iPhone.... And most likely have to pay jacked up prices to get one. Then again I recall electronics are far more expensive in europe then in Canada or USA. There is justice in the world indeed.

iTunes works well for managing music I prefer it to manually dragging folders around.

UMPC how useless! Internet tables even more useless. Truely hacks to a problem iphone solves. When I can fit an UMPC or an internet tablet in my pocket give me a call. Or not. Why would I want to suffer the horror that is Windows Tablet Edition versus iPhones super click and convenient interface? Even the smallest UMPC is enough of a brick to hit ppl over the head with! In addition to all that you STILL have to carry a phone around! If I am silly enough to consider a UMPC or an internet tablet I will hit myself over the head until I get some sense and get a ultra-portable laptop.

I didn't attack anyone. I said electronics are more expensive in Norway then in North America. That is a FACT which is true.

The first 7 posts of this thread was about the upgraded bluetooth abilities for the p2, not once was a comparison made between the P2 and the iphone/ipod touch. Your first post in this thread was number 8, which was when you stepped in warbling about the iphone.

Post #24 suggested an p2 vs iphone thread to keep this thread on topic as it became derailed thanks to your intervention as mentioned above.

Post #26 was you admitting that you get upset whenever a comparison is made between the p2 and the iphone, which was never made in this thread before you came in

I then asked you to point out where such a comparison was made in this thread before you stepped in, and here is where we are now
