need help? iMod Super Cotton Dock Cable

I got 5.5 imod with the iMod Super Cotton Dock Cable.. but my imod is gone(someone stole it)
Right now i only left with the iMod Super Cotton Dock Cable.. So do you think can the iMod Super Cotton Dock Cable use it on a normal 5.5g non-mod ipod....???
And if the iMod Super Cotton Dock Cable can be use on 5.5g ipod non-mod, will the SQ be the same as normal Super Cotton Dock Cable use on 5.5g non-mod ipod.....?

it will work. Not sure about the sound quality though.

i hope the thief was someone who knew nothing about imod. s/he could blow out his/her ears and phones by using the imod without amp.
