I have a pair of these I got in a box of headphones and the right side is not working so my question is should I replace the cable going around the band or should I do a dual entry with new cable? Also what kind of cable do people use to recable? I have heard Canare Starquad but where do i get something flexible/ small enough to use? Most canare cables tend to be pretty thick looking.

The MDR-V6 is pretty bright headphone so you might want to consider a warm cable to add warmth to the sound. You might want to recable the V6 with dual entry. You might get the best sound out of your V6 that way.
