How do I disable the rotatable cup on my HD25

Im trying to make the rotating of the left cup undone. Using a screwdriver just makes the split headband harder to adjust without it affecting the rotation.

Did anyone do this succesfully? Tips are appreciated.

Hot glue.

But why?

Well I kind of hate the movement it makes when I adjust the cups to match my head. I want it straight like the other side. Glue I can see happening but how would heat do the trick? Im not so technical you know.

Edit: Ive been thinking that glue would also affect the movement of the headband so not an option.
