slight difference in looks (possibly), triple.fi LM vs. Triple.fi regular

I believe I have found a slight difference in the appearance of the triple.fi's that came limited edition, and the ones that did not. But just to make sure, let me ask you guys. For those who own one of the 1000 limited sets, is there a clear ring looking piece between the where the driver housings meet the cables? and for those who dont have one of the 1000, do yours have it? Ive looked at some pictures, and it seems that some of them have it and some dont. Mine are the limited, and they have it. But when I look at pictures of them for example on earphonesolutions.com, the ones in the picture dont have the ring. In this review though(below), on the same sight(the guy has one of the limited sets I think) it has it.

Has it: (look in the pic with Shure e500 w/ foamies and triple.fi w/ foamies)

Doesnt have it:

Mine (which are not a set of the limited edition models) are clear. They look almost exactly like the pair on the comparison.
