Decent (dirt cheap) combo: Insignia Bass Reflex 2.0 + Sonic Impact T-Amp Gen 2?

How's this for an introductory, dirt-cheap setup?

Best Buy Insignia Bass Reflex Bookshelves
On sale for $50 this weekend, plus I have a 10% off coupon.

Sonic Impact Class T-Amp Gen. 2 (with Power Supply)
About $60.

Basically, all the hype seems to say that both of these are way better than they should be for the price. I know they have their detractors, but really, I don't have enough for even a moderately-priced basic setup--even this $110 would be stretching my recreational budget a little.

But what I can't seem to find are reports on how well these two go together. I don't understand any of the efficiency/power/8 ohms jargon that's bandied about, so my question is, is there any reason that this combo would not be a decent setup for the money?

It'll plug into my computer, Chaintech AV-710 w/ Wolfson enabled. Used mainly for music and movies, occasional gaming, but I also have a PA2V2 and Sennheiser HD280 when needed.

Bump. Has anyone else tried those two components together?

Many people have tried the Insignias with the v1 T-Amp. They won't be driven to extremely loud volumes, but for a starter system, it's not bad. For the price, you may be better off going with a set of computer speakers like the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1, which can be found on eBay for $100 or less.
