HD 25-1 II Cable Upgrade

I am leaning toward getting these headphones and understand that they will benefit from recabling and that for an upgrade cable like the Headphile Senn V2 to work, the earcups on the headphone must be rotated.

So: Has anyone successfully done this and what is involved in rotating the earcups? Is it worth it?

(I'm not much for DIY, so am not inclined toward options like using another Senn cable and soldering on a miniplug; also, only want a short (e.g, 3-4 feet) cable.)

from the pics on headphiles site, it appears the v2 uses hd650 connectors, so they should work well with the hd25, since i'm using mine with a reterminated hd650 cable. moon audio cables fit as well, whereas zu mobius don't, at least the mk1. Rotating the cups is straightforward, you can just pull them down and put them back on.
