RCA splitters

I've read that the Vampire splitters does this job marvelously.

how about something more mediocre priced? any comments on its sonic behaviour?

The Vampires have no sonic behavior, in my opinion. That makes them worth their price.

They are built solid and do the job they are supposed to. The only negative thing I can say is that they add another +/- 1.5" to the length of your IC.

The Vampire splitters are good stuff, I bought'em on JMT's recommendation a while back. Very well built and transparent as far as I can tell. About a half inch longer than what you've got pictured there...

Sorry, newbie question, What is it for?

One application would be splitting the output of your source, routing it to two different headamps or perhaps a headamp & speaker amp.

Or running two sources into one headamp.

Absolutely ! (Except in my case. The amp to source ratio is completely out of hand )

Perhaps you need more sources.

That's not a bad idea If I had the resources for sources of courses

Did I say completely out of hand ? I'm sorry, I meant slightly askew...

STOP!!! don't buy from headroom...... they are charging 50% more than direct from Vampire!!!

.... go to Vampire's web site.... you can order direct for $20..... not Headroom's ridiculous $30.

hmm..... makes me wonder how many other headroom products are marked up too high....

But headroom is a Head-Fi forum sponsor! Support the site.

Their 'phones are not marked up much, so who cares if they mark up the interconnects?

You like the forum? Support sponsors.

Besides, it's common for retail shops to mark up cables 2x thir cost.
