Hello,
After a few of your advices I went fot the Marantz CD5001 and the AKGK501. I'm very happy with it after a first night listen. Very detailed sound. I hear things that I didn't hear on my other stereo system.
I also bought a second set that was for sale second hand in the shop for in my bedroom. Only 150$ ! I could'nt resist. I don't know the cd-player but the shop owner told me that it was unbeatable for that price. I initially hesitated to buy this set instead of the other one. I finally bought both of them.
Second set : Philips CDR870 (cd player and recorder) with Sennheiser HD250 Linear II. I don't find a lot of information of this cd-player on the internet but it sounds very good. Different than the Marantz, but not in a bad way. The sound is as detailed but a little "colder". I feel that the stereo imaging and place of each instrument is slightly better than with the Marantz.
Maybe somebody here has some experience with this Philips CDR870 ? What converter is used here ? I could'nt find it on the net.
Thanks again.
Ginz.
