SOLD: Woo Audio WA5/K1000 Special Price

I am considering selling my WA5. I've had it about 6 months and it's in excellent condition. I just bought a pair of System-Audio Ranger speakers which are 87db. I tried the WA5 with them at the shop and they just couldn't handle it. I had tried them with the System-Audio SA2K (monitor) which is also 87db and it did a decent job so I thought it would work with the Ranger. In order to buy the speakers and an amp to drive them, the Woo has to go.

I have a pair of WE 300B tubes in the wood box (3 months old), a pair of Ken Rad 6SN7, 2 pair of Sylvania 5U4GB, and a full set of stock tubes. The amp has the V-Cap upgrade as well. It drives efficient speakers, K1000 and headphones (high and low imp). There is about a 3 month wait for the amp.

I have more than $4,000 invested in the amp and tubes. I will throw in a Synergistic Research AC Master Coupler power cord ($350 retail) if the amp is bought at my asking price. The amp and ps have custom shipping crates.

This is a wonderful amp and I will hate to see it go but I may have no choice.



$3400. I will split shipping conus. I will include my K1000 in perfect condition rewired with SAA Equinox cable terminated with an 4 pin xlr for a total of $4400. The K1000 will not be sold seperately.
