Its actually been pretty quiet so far which is good because I really do not want to much more work. I should hire some more people, good help is hard to find though!

I thought for sure you'd at least be overwhelmed by requests for the cammo caps! What's up with this?

Dock Dimensions

Could someone with a Fidelity iMod Auricap Docking Station please post the dimensions?
I'm trying to figure out how transportable it is for the office.
Thanks for the help.

The wooden block itself is 2x3x4 inches. The plugs on the back of course take a little more room. I am using it with RCA plugs out.

Wood Selection

Ken has a nice selection of available woods.
Has anyone heard if a wood not listed (specifically ebony) could be ordered?
Thanks!

So it came in the mail today. A Maple Fidelity Dock. Not the Vcap or Auricap, just the regular iPod version. I so ALMOST bought a iTransport. But after you buy one and get a DAC you are in for a wad of money. I was just tired having my iPod just laying in various places around the rig hooked up to a Sendstation Pocket Dock and a BJC mini to RCA. Anyway first things first. These docks are beautiful, they will look good on any rig. Ok the sound, I noticed a new level a clarity compared to the old set-up. Listening to the Led Zepplin Box Set. I like the smooth and creamy sound from the dock. The stereo separation seems a lot more noticeable than before. This was just what my system needed. Right out of the box thumbs up. Anxious to hear it after it burns it a bit. Thanks Ken!

I can check on this... but would suspect that Ebony might be expensive.

Great Articulation

hello,

I don't want to be the one who makes the review on this. I an not very adept at writing what I hear with great articulation or have much time sadly to do so. However there is no surprise or confusion here, the Vcap version is going to of sound better, of course the Vcaps also retail for almost $120 a pair also. The Auricaps are noticeably warmer, tighter, bigger sounding than the Black Gate caps used in the cables. For the cost the Auricaps are the way to go.

thanks !!

The ALO Fidelity Ipod Dock is the best docking station and works very well with my hifi system!

Now my GF can make use of my expensive amp and speakers!
