i'll probably pick it up this weekend. according to reports it is a first class release, with a commentary by hunter thompson who rips on everyone involved with the film, and is apparently getting pretty drunk while recording the commentary.

Ever see “Where the Buffalo Roam” with Bill Murray? I loved that movie.

I've been waiting for the day when a product will come to market that will make me buy another piece of gear. This may be it.

Hunter's book (you really must read it to understand the movie) is funnier, and on an entirely different level, for me as Las Vegas is my home town. In 1973, when HST was roaring through town in that big red caddy, I was living in North Las Vegas, or, what HST said "..what America would look like if the Nazis won the war."

There is a particularly poignant paragraph about the culture of the time that ends with something to the effect of: "If you are looking west over the valley at the mountains on the other side, you can just make out the high water mark"

Great book, great write.

I'd really like to see a movie made of "The Curse Of Lono"...

ok,

Fear and Loathing in LV is one of my favorite books. I've probably read it 10 times in the past few years.

It's a bit annoying though, becuase every time I read it I seem to read it all at once! I end up finishing the book around 6 in the morning, feeling like I've been on a wild crazy ride. Reading it is exactly like being on lots of different drugs (not that I'd know )
