Maybe the most interesting John Lennon story you'll ever read

This isn't new, but I stumbled on it this evening. It's a Harvard student's grad paper, entitled "You Say You Want A Velvet Revolution?"

Really fascinating reading. Sometimes music matters more than we realize.

Just as an aside, there's a nice recent documentary that deals with the Nixon administration's attempt to throw Lennon out of America: The U.S. vs. John Lennon. Some of the footage of John being interviewed is priceless.

Just about what I expected. I spent my entire military career fighting communism. It turned out to be a paper tiger. we were all wrong, but I have to concede John Lennon was a force.
