You're correct, I posted that in General to start out, and it was moved here. No worries!

Very nice review!

I am a HUGE Klipsch fan and will definately check them out, although I think I slightly prefer the Custom-3's from what I've read...please get them out!

There was mention in another thread that there would be another "newsletter discount" in early/mid December. Is this out, and if so, is there a link?

Thanks,
Phil

Just ordered the Klipsch Image. I am getting an iPod Touch for Christmas, and wanted a set of headphones to use with it for more casual listening and less bulk. I do look forward to trying the Touch with Hornet/UE-10pros, but size wise the Images and Touch will fit in a pocket a lot better for less critical listening sessions.

Will try and do some comparisons over the holidays if I get the Images burned in enough.

looking forward to hear from you what is your impression on them

Them's gotta be the smallest folded horns I've ever seen! Correct placement would be in the corner of your ears?

I ordered one today. I hope this new IEM from Klipsch sounds at least a little like their ProMedia speakers because that's what I'm hoping for.

Will post a full review sometime, not sure when but by the end of January for sure.

Well that and UE's super.fi 5 Pro too actually.

Is there any chance of hearing these at CES in January?

Mine arrived today. Holiday shipping and all.

Be sure to bring the buck knife to get into this box. Bubble wrap shipping envelope, plastic bag, 2 clear plastic boxes with clear disk tape, and one cardboard box with same tape disks. No way to get in there without some sharp object.

Out of the box onto my 2G Nano (mp3/aac holiday tracks) sound was pretty good. Enough bass right outta the box, was a bit worried with the midrange though, as I listen to jazz and bluegrass. Let it go here about an hour.

Moved the Image to my Raptor listening to some of my reference tracks on lossless (ALAC in Foobar via my office rig below) Enya - Orinocco Flow and Storms in Africa. Her music has a lot of layered sounds which separate with better gear. Also Nickel Creek - Ode To a Lighthouse, one with a lot of midrange and a lot of hand on instrument sounds to pick up. The midrange was up to my expectation on this gear, and even early on, I am excited about these very tiny, very comfortable IEMs.

I plan to let them burn in over my vacation week after Christmas, with the iPod Touch that I will get then. I will try some more careful comparison with the Shure E4c and UE-10pro. Unfair to call it at this point, but so far these are a great addition to my portable gear.

nice! every single armature based IEM ive heard hasn't had enough bass for my tastes, but I am hoping these are them. I love klipsch and hope that these live up to the hype!

If you like bass than you are in for a treat with Klipsch headphones. Many will call me a bass head. I guess it is from my days of running live sound systems with tons of headroom and multiple 18” pro audio drivers for subs. You just can’t replace that clean thunderous “thump” as the kick drum is smacked by the kick drum pedal. This is what I focused on when coining the sound signature of all our Klipsch products and IMAGE is no exception to this rule. This is always a challenge when designing a single armature PM. Great lengths were taken to insure that there was sonic integrity through the entire bandwidth. Another key design feature insuring maximum performance is the proprietary ear gel featuring a unique cross-section to better suit your ear canal. Consistent pressure to the wall of the ear canal is the key to this ear gel. I hope you enjoy it!

Currently, I am using the E500 Shure and have grown accustomed to it and a 3 driver model. (my signature is old and somehow resurfaced after the headfi crash) Anyway, I wonder if I would be more suited for the Custom 3? What id really like to know is which of the models offers the best sound, regardless of comfort or size?

Agreed! Granted, the packaging protected my Custom-2s very well, but the environmentally friendly factor was definitely not there =P
