I've had this for about a year and it looks and sounds pretty good. Mainly used to listen to records in used shops or at record shows with some home use as well. It takes D sized batteries or an external adapter; I'd recommend using it in a stereo system for the best quality sound, as the internal mono speaker can be finicky (noisy/distorted) at louder volumes. This is roughly the size of a larger laptop, so it can be carried around fairly easily. This is definitely not a 'hi-fi' piece of equipment. Sonics aren't bad for the price and it gets the job done. The clip that locks the tone arm down broke from transportation and is worth noting - a cosmetic issue.

I have a youtube video of it in action playing a 45:

$40 plus your choice of USPS or UPS shipping in the lower 48 USA takes it. Enter 8 lbs into the online shipping calculator from 35226 to get how much shipping will be.
