Posted around at several other places, listened to music, worked on a few projects.

Enjoyed classical music listening on my Senns HD 600, and browsed some other forums like hydrogenaudio.

Welll, so many newbies, so much new gear, I'm an oldie now.

Nice to see other oldies still around. We'll never know what those 5 PMs said. It's a mystery.

Come on Plainsong, of course you're remembered.

While head-fi was down, I mined diyaudio, diyhifi, pinkfishmedia and headwize diy forums for data on voltage regulators. Maybe I'll find the time to improve my stuff.

Let's see, I ordered a new Dell 1720 laptop. Days passed. It was delivered. I played with Vista for a day or two, then for grins reformatted the disk and started from scratch. Awesome machine, had two (count 'em) 250G drives. Then Vista started bugging me and wouldn't stop. I called Dell and told 'em it was coming back to them. Before I shipped it back I ran 24 hours of security wipe on the 2 HDs.

Now bored and still no head-fi, I called Verizon and ordered a FIOS install even though I was reasonably happy with cox.net. FIOS was installed next day (!) and it rocks just like everone says.

Other than that, I had 4 days of just me and the dog while the wife was in TX and I washed my car twice.

Now, with Head-Fi back up I'm wondering if it all was just a dream...

Bought new hardware in the dark, since I didn't find any good sites for advice.

I started visiting a home theatre forum.

Apparently, the upgraditis isn't limited to headphones and audio.
In the last two weeks, I managed to buy:

Sony 40" LCD.

And for another room:
Acer PH530 HD beamer
100" Screen for the beamer
Marantz SR-3002 receiver
Marantz DV-3002 dvd player

No pictures of the newly created home cinema yet, but here's one of the TV:

Kramer5150 and I ended up at the WatchUSeek forums... and I dropped $500 on watches.

One of these...

and one of these.

It's horrible what happens when Head-Fi goes down on me.

You're not the only one at WUS, 2 Stowas, 2 Bathys, 1 Sinn. I lean more away form the Marathon and more towards the Stowa Seatime, which would be my third Stowa.

I lurked at a few other forums between hitting refresh on my browser waiting for head-fi to come back up.
