Is it worth the extra 30 bucks. Or will i be happy with the PK3. I have no amps or anything like that. Going to use it on my pc and my mp3, radio phone

I loved these buds to bits, they were the perfect everyday headphone. Small and light and comfortable and barely protruded past the outside of your ears. I like the fact that no one can really...

I would say get the Pk3. I have both and prefere the PK3. The main difference is the extra bass with them and all round balance with there sound sig...I find the treble with the Pk2 can be hard at times.

I only have the PK2 not the PK3 but I really like my PK2. The only reason I didn't get the PK3 was because they have a J-Cord.

Also owned both, and prefer the PK3. To my mind, the PK3s are a better value (for reasons outlined in initial response above). The J-cord is a bit annoying, and way too short in my view. But that's a small thing. They sound even better amped, though I use my PK1s if I carry an amp.

I love the pk3 more than the pk2, but one gripe I have is that the pk3 cord is very short, and may not be good for PC usage. I only use it for mobile usage, so I have no problem. I also like the livelier funner sound that the pk3 gives.

I also don't know which to purchase, the yuin pk2 or pk3. I own some jvc marshmallows and the creative ep-630. I find the low end to be too overpowering in ep-630s. I really enjoy the sound of the Sennheiser PX100s. I don't want to end up with too powerful of a lower register (Pk3) or too lean of one (Pk2) I really wish I could hear the difference and decide but what do you think?

PX100s and Pk3s compare similarly though the latter has less bass boom and tightens up the high and mid range. To many this is an improvement; to flat-out bassheads not as much, but the PK3 still blows all other earbud's bass response and clarity out of the water (in exception to it's bigger brothers). If it had any less bass, I'd be turned off. It's what my ears call the midget-version of the ksc75.
Frankly, unless you're really against J-cords, the best values lie in the PK1 and PK3; the former for top-quality, the bottom for quality/price value. A lot of people are still impressed nonetheless when they *amp* the PK3; tough choices, but I'd start from the bottom, and sell it in exchange for the higher models if I like the sound but would like the specified improvements (tighter bass, soundstage in exchange for warmth). The PK2 in my mind could have been better if they didn't reduce bass levels, though that's a *totally* trivial statement since no one really hates them.
The EP630s don't give music the same sort of life that the YUIN buds do; overpowering bass punch, sharp sibilance, and trashed mids that is very, VERY difficult to EQ to bearable levels. If you want tighter bass, reducing the EQ at 600hz by a couple decibels makes the PK3s quite clean-sounding, while raising it makes things warmer. Good stuff.
