I really dig the Taffy cookies too, but have to have milk to dunk them.

nothing better than a black & white cookie.

JERRY: Uhm, The thing about eating the Black and White cookie, Elaine, is you want to get some black and some white in each bite. Nothing mixes better than vanilla and chocolate And yet somehow racial harmony eludes us. If people would only look to the cookie all our problems would be solved.

ELAINE: Your views on race relations are fascinating. You really should do an op-ed piece for the Times.

JERRY: Um, um, Look to the cookie Elaine. Look to the cookie.

There are two kinds of meals and/or snacks in this world: with chocolate and without. I will exercise self-control here, mention a non-chocolate cookie:

Fig Newmans - surely the best fig bar cookie around [my old favorite, Sunshine fig bars no longer seem to be made]. I could live on Fig Newmans, with a bit of chocolate on the side....aaaaaaah, I can't stand it:

Thin Mints!!!!!

whew, there, I said it, yes I know they're not "store" cookies, tho I have seen the Girl Scouts selling cookies in Hy-Vee. So there, I'm within the rules.

OMG! The chocolate cream ones are amazing, but those damned elves only make them once a year.

Anyway, those are my favorites until someone starts selling the Nibby Espresso Cookies from Alice Medrich's bittersweet. The nibby comes from cocoa nibs.

<referee rushes over to the sideline> Yes! Both feet are inbounds! Touchdown!

Girl Scout cookies are awesome... I love the shortbread myself.

I have some other favorites to mention in no particular order:
Animal Crackers (any brand will do)
Chips Ahoy
Nutter Butter

...and those Danish Butter cookies that come in a round tin container. Sometimes they are given as corporate gifts and you can buy them in Walgreens. I always get 5 pounds of those for Christmas and eat myself sick.

(I have a weakness for cookies in case you haven't noticed by now.)
