How can you talk about good sealing with OpenAir headphones?

Well, it's common knowledge that the pad affects the sound of Grado's A LOT, because of the pad's shape, thickness, proximity to the ear, tightness against the ear, etc. etc.

It's also common knowledge that Radio Shack pads work well with Grado headphones, especially if you're a bass-head.

I told you to go to radio shack and maybe pick up that CD player, right? Pick up some headphone pads that will fit your Grado's there, too.

And, btw, with the SR-80's, and those pads, and some power being fed to them, you *will* feel the impact, or I'll eat my shoe...

Hmmm...

As I undertood problem in my computer's soundcard. It gives too weak output for Grado, cause from Pc's CD drive I hear bass pretty well. I can't say that it's huge bass(like I used to hear and I think I was wrong), but it's ok on high volome level.

The next question is : which PCI sound card can give good output for grado sr-80.

If you own grado SR-80 and use it with PC, please post your info here.

Ok. The problem was in my PC soundcard. It has no power to bass SR-80.

I have pretty good bass with portable CD player.

btw: As advised I flipped the earpads - the sound is better and headphones are more comfortable now.

Thank you guys. That was very good help for headphone newbie.
