Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

I'd give it an 8 out of 10, with most of those starts for the Dylan pastiche. Spot on. The Beatles skit was kinda funny too

"Music & Lyrics" (HBO) Typical Hugh Grant "chick flick." (...and I don't say that to, in anyway, insult the "chicks" out there...) Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore just don't "click." (2.5/10)

I can imagine ol' x watching National Treasure. I actually laughed out loud thinking about it.

I'm glad you said something because I was at a loss for words.

How about the fact that some brave soul gave him The Bad News Bears Trilogy for Christmas. The only way I can see some one doing that without mortal danger to themselves is to leave it on his door step, ring the bell, and run like hell.

No Country For Old Men 9.0/10 (I'm still processing the end)

Thank you Coen Brothers!

Not horrible, but not great.

Alien versus Predator: Requiem

7.75/10

It was pretty darn good, and quite surprisingly, way better than the first one.

i agree that the movie's a stinker...but i did love the wham-inspired 80s music video with that catchy, "pop goes my heart" tune.

Post-Christmas Movie Stop run: coolness

How to Deal 4/10

Last time I got $0.99 discs at Movie Stop, the ones so worn the labels are unreadable, I made out like a bandit (Best of Abbot & Costello disc 1, and Charade). This certainly beat my expectations, but it would not have been worth it paying much more for.

Devil in the Flesh 6/10 overall, but 8/10 if you've got buddies over, and it's late

So-so script, full of cliches. But, good acting, and great directing and editing. Good movie to chill out with, and maybe share a pizza over, yelling at the characters like they could hear you.

White Zombie 8/10

Not even mildly suspenseful, by today's standards, but it spurred me to get a Bela Lugosi box set . It is entertaining, and if you like old movies, or want to see some of the beginnings of modern horror and suspense, take a peek here!

The Dreamers 1/10

1 for good acting. As a rule, book adaptations suck, and this is no exception. If it were done as a 10 minute short, it might not have been so bad; but, as a full length movie, it's crap. It is made like it was designed to have explication essays written about it by students forced to watch it, not to be enjoyed.

Could you explain the 360 degree remark? In quality (which has always been exaggerated) or theme (which only seems a 10 degree change to me)?

Saw Rescue Dawn last night. Would recommend Herzog's Little Dieter Needs to Fly instead. Might as well hear the story from Dieter Denglers own mouth.
