I saw "I Am Legend" yesterday at the IMAX Theater in King Of Prussia, Pa. I would give it an "8.7 out of 10." I wasn't disappointed in the ending at all. The scene with the dog was tough to take. The extended Batman preview was quite a preview. I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever been so impressed by a trailer. I haven't wanted to see the most recent Batman films, but this might be one to put on the "must see list."

I have to agree about the Dark Knight scene (saw IAL in IMAX as well.) That was thrilling, absolutely jam packed with awesomeness.

Coach Carter - 6/10

Standard "coach makes a bunch of losers into winners" story, but entertaining enough. Samuel Jackson always gives a good effort.

The Time Machine - 3/10

This remake blew. I usually like Guy Pearce's films, and Sienna Guillory is a favorite of mine, but this one bit big time. Kept going downhill once Orlando Jones showed up on screen, but that was to be expected.

Have a good weekend up ahead. Eastern Promises, I Am Legend & Black Santa's Revenge all waiting to be viewed.

Kite Runner-2*s-I'm really getting tired of these damn feel good stories. Probably win the BP AA. It's tedious.

Saw Enchanted today in a rare trip to an actual theater (I much prefer my home theater).

8+/10. A very cute movie that kept me entertained. The kids liked it too.

"Sweeney Todd..." I'm not much for Broadway Musicals but the story, the quality of the music, and the performances were definitely there. (8.9/10)

You've been warned!

National Treasure: Book of Secrets

Nearly exactly the same as the first one except the screenwriters (and I think it took at least four) changed everything that was wood into stone. Brilliant!

The Illusionist - 7/10

Simple and predictable, but still entertaining.

Blade Runner "Final Cut" - 9.6/10

One of my favorite movies period, and also one of the few movies that I can think of where is actually expands on the book a bit, even if it didn't get close to following the original story. The 5.1 sound (finally!) is a treat, not to mention the improved picture quality. I'm pretty familiar with the Directors Cut of the movie, and honestly I didn't notice a whole lot different between the two versions, aside from one slightly extended scene and a bit more gore, but the remastering was very well done and the packaging of the Collectors Edition has set a new standard IMO. If you're a Blade Runner fan do yourself a favor and get this version, even if it's just the regular release without the briefcase.

On that note, why is there almost always an improvement when movies are remastered but not music which is actually harmed more than helped?
