I loved that movie, especially Michael Shannons performance.

He's just great in everything...one of the few actors where I'll watch the film simply because he's in it.

Riddick (2013):

8/10

Very enjoyable, though the story is kinda cheesy. The fight scenes are epic!!

Warning: Spoiler! (Just an awesome scene) (Click to show)
My favorite scene was when Vin Diesel balanced the knife on his leg, kicked it upwards, then threw it and slashed that guy's head into pieces. His head fell into a box. Gave me goosebumps :D

The Conjuring (2013):

6.5/10

Well, it is somewhat scary, but not particularly fun to watch. The environment also didn't help as all i heard was girls screaming in the theater and people exiting.

Don't watch it alone.

For me it was fun, i felt quite relaxed throughout the whole movie... the only somewhat spooky scene was when the maid appeared....

The Most Distant Course (2007)  7/10

Continuing my Michael Shannon film fest, I got around to seeing this one tonight. I first heard of it several months ago and have been very eager to check it out ever since. As expected, Michael Shannon was just fantastic in his portrayal of Kulkinski. His presence just jumped off the screen in every scene he was in. As far as the film itself, it did keep my attention from start to finish and the material was interesting, but overall it felt very rushed. They seemed to be wanting to cram as much in there as possible, a mixture of fact and fiction, and I just felt it didn't work at times. I highly recommend the HBO documentary that is based on the "confession" tapes from when he was in prison. I watched it right afterward to sort of fill in a few gaps, and ended up finding out that they weren't really gaps but fictitious constructs for dramatic effect.

"The Iceman" - 7.9/10  (Michael Shannon 9.3/10)

Oh you seen it. What type of movie is it. About making Riddick look badass or is there room for more characters?

About badass watched Mad Max and Mad Max 2

I totally messed up Mad Max. I thought it was Mad Max 2 and I had actually not seen it. The expectation of apocalypse and all that totally screwed my brain over and I could never recover. I wasn´t particularly impressed with the acting, scenography or anything though but again my brain was scrambled eggs trying to make sense of it all.

Mad Max 2 though. I remember it as a masterpiece and it was even better now. It hasn´t age at all crazy! It kind of show what is wrong with the hollywood action movies of today. Absolutely brilliant and the humour is fantastic. This is so brilliant. The kids can go wow and the adults can laugh about it :)

I can´t find anything to nag about. Okay it´s a bit hard for me with entire musical scores going on when things are supposed to go dramatic but it actually worked quite okay here. I am sure the hockey fashion will come back soon too.

Iron Man 3 - 6/10

There isn't much to it apart from all the action.

Plot, sound, settings, character, all 9!

Now I am not sure if Spartacus also as good.

I should watch it too. I just found out Gaius Octavian from the series was my house captain at school....

Jobs - 5.5/10

"Meh". Too much music to the point of eye-rolling and too much repitition of Steve Jobs message of uniqueness. Think it would have started to be a better movie when they cut back on the drama.

It's your typical Vin Diesel movie where he's that lone wolf who does badass moves with a stealthy manner against a number of tough guys which get their asses kicked by him tongue.gif
The fight scenes were awesome especially ones that involved knives. Still not better than Fast 6, that movie was seriously good. Probably because I'm a car maniac.

Haven't seen Mad Max unfortunately.

Mad Max 2 Road Warrior you just have to see it created the postapocalypse genre and has never been beaten :)

Fast 6 is on it´s way I am sure I will have some fun with it at least.

I imagine Rome around that time is quite a messy place to live. One time, around 2000 senate and traders are killed and robbed, to fund to pay the salary of the soldiers.
The storyline, the plot and the are 'enveloping.

Oh, and the egyptian Cleopatra is gorgeous!!!

Jeff Who Lives At Home (2011):

5.5/10

I really enjoy Jason Segel's work, and his acting in this movie was superb, but the story just didn't do it for me.

That's My Boy (2012):

8.5/10

I'm a huge fan of Adam Sandler's comedy movies, and this one was awesome.
