Side note; I wonder how many people The man of Steel will let die in this movie.

Just when I had made peace with my disdain for Benny...he was fine when he was staying behind the damn camera. I'll even say he was GOOD at directing. But come on, the guy has ZERO range. Of the short list of actors I saw, considering they want an older, beat down version of the dark knight, Josh Brolin would have been the choice for me. My ideal choice would have been an unknown or near-unknown...sort of like Cavill for Supes.  I'll still look forward to seeing the film and give Zack Snyder the benefit of the doubt, but I have serious doubts about this choice.

I haven't seen any of his more recent acting efforts, like The Town or Argo....but he does seem to be almost universally praised as a director. I'm willing to give this one a shot though....I really did enjoy Man of Steel.

Zero range.....so you'd consider him the male Kristin Stewart? biggrin.gif

Dude, you just described my view of him PERFECTLY lol. That's EXACTLY what he is...kudos...you mind if I use that? lol

And yeah, the guy is smart and has some clear skills behind the camera....I wish he'd just stay there. There are a handful of actors that just seem to be the very same character in every film, and he's on that list for me. I've never once bought him as the actual character he was attempting to play...it was always just...Benny.

Feel free!

Lol, there are plenty of people, none of whom I can name right now, that have less range. biggrin.gif

I think it'll all depend on the writing and the tone of the film. He's not the batman for Nolan's vision but he might fit in here. This is too much a knee-jerk reaction with no context.

I fought very hard with myself not to go with a play on the need deserve quote.

From imgur....

Zach Galifianakis as Batman

Steve Buscemi as Batman

Lol. Both better choices

It would be really awesome if Zach Galifianakis was Batman. He would run around with his belly hanging and his man purse in the way of everything biggrin.gif

Hell yeah, both of those guys would be awesome!!!  If nothing else, hire Buscemi to give Benny some acting lessons. THAT guy is an actor.

Children of Men:9/10

Seriously a fantastic movie. I love how it's an apocalypse movie that isn't about nuclear war. The directing is fantastic and the score choices are just right in line with the tone of the movie.

We're the Millers (2013):

8/10

This movie was pretty good. There's always that sense of humor flowing through each one of the characters and thats something you don't see in every movie.

Hot Tube Time Machine:

8.5/10

This is the kind of movie that i wouldn't have a problem watching over and over again. Its just that enjoyable. Nice story with very good acting. Highly recommended!

I will be seeing Inception (for the second time) tomorrow, and I'll post my rating right away.

I'm still thinking about the decision by Affleck to play Batman. Affleck is one of the better directors in Hollywood.  He's a fair actor, when he can suppress his South Boston accent. Batman is a franchise role and Affleck is a director first.  It would be like Robert Redford after directing "Ordinary People" deciding to take on the role of Superman.  I know the money is great, but this is a weird career decision.
