The Room  - We only watched it for a laugh and we got a few. Such a dreadful movie, wooden acting makes the dramatic scenes a comedic riot however. 2/10

LOVED the ending...really a pleasant surprise.

What were some of your issues with it, just out of curiosity?

The Wolverine - 6/10

First two thirds of the movie was very interesting.  The final arc was weird and made no sense to me.

Drive

9/10 - a lot better than I expected

How badly it butchered geography is the big thing. Normally this wouldn't upset me too much in a fantasy/sci-fi film, but I felt that this particular movie was so immersive/lovely to watch that its willful rearranging of Central American landmarks and toying around with distances really felt jarring and out of place. Basically, the crew behind it fail geography, forever.

Pacific Rim 9.1/10.

Battleship was 9/10 and this was just a hair better.

Absolutely nothing makes sense in this movie. Battleship is a documentary in comparison. But it doesn´t really matter :D

Big loud things battling off eachother don´t need much more it´s a proven concept.

Battleship was a 2/10 for me. I hated all the absolutely idiotic characters in it - the main guy was terrible.

Please tell me Pacific Rim was much better..

Also has it´s share of dumb stereotypes. But I had no big problem with it.

Disconnect 8/10

Based on real stories, it portrays the boundaries of the physical and virtual worlds. The power of the internet to connect people while disconnecting them from the reality that surrounds them. The central theme is carried forward by three narratives, which sometimes interact with each other, and some powerful acting by all the members of the cast, both young and old.

It made me wonder how the internet has devalued our decision making abilities, because clicking on a button is so easy and seemingly without consequences.

I hated Battleship too. About a 3/10 for me. But I'd place Pacific Rim at a solid 7. It's not any more intelligent (ok, maybe it is a little) or original, but it's far better executed, and the characters are actually sort of characters, lol.

That's the only way to watch it. It is a majestic tour de force of unprecedented retardation. I an surprised that you only laughed a few times.

2 guns.

7/10

Quirky, funny, with plenty of witty one liners and action to match. I love Marky mark, so I had to go and see it. As always he does not dissappoint. Just remember this is a big summer popcorn movie.
