Just putting it out there, but I'd bang Ryan Gosling. Lol.

I think he's on both of our 'it's okay to cheat with these celebrities' list.

Haha. You both could certainly do worse.

The man of Steel- 5/10

Ugh, As a superman fan...this movie was like pulling teeth. I think they got the characters right for the most part...but just so much...so much. The plot was all over the place, the motives for the villain was just stupid...I don't even know what to say about this movie to be honest; Krypton was the worst interpretation of it I have ever seen...just yuck. The action was good; but that's really it.

Lol. She just went up a few points with me for saying that very publicly, joke or not. I will try to see her next movie.

Oh really? Let's see you explain Krypton's destruction, and why only one child would escape a dying planet.

As for Zod, did you not hear his explanation?

I'm not talking about Kryptons destruction...that was pretty dumb too, Wouldn't a race of super intelligent beings with highly advanced technology be able to avoid such a fate?I don't understand why they couldent use the Braniac destroying Krypton. The interpretation of Krypton was stupid, the tree of life/semi matrix human pod thing....why. Super man has an established back story that's nearly 70 years old; couldn't they...maybe use some of that?

Explanation of why Zod is stupid, also some stupid plot points. Serious spoilers.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Zod: Bring that girl he was with along with him, we can probe her mind off screen apparently and find out exactly as much information about him as some one with an internet connection. Also probe him so we can use useful information.

Zod: LETS TERRAFORM THIS PLANET SO ITS LIKE OUR OLD ONE, WHO NEEDS GOD POWERS!!!!?

Zod: IT WOULD TAKE PEOPLE YEARS TO ADAPT!.....as they grow up....also it took me literally seconds to adapt.

Zod: really, who needs god powers? Yellow sun makes us nearly unkillable...yeah lets not do that.

Also....Why did they not want to evacuate the planet that's clearly going to pieces...but use a spaceship like 1/32 the size of the darn thing to transport 6 criminals? The Braniac attacking would make more sense; as they evacuated their son in the heat of things and it was a surprise attack so no one saw it coming/could stop it.

Wow, I still gave it a 7. But I agree with your points. Seems to me like a race as advanced as Krypton would have some sense of rationality. The action was, well too much. You know that all Kryptonians will have the same powers, and they can smash through buildings, but how many of those do you need to destroy before making a point? Some of the dialogs are just terrible.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Also, apparently everyone is an expert on alien technology in 5 minutes. Lets smash these Phantom Drives together! It'll create a black hole! The only hole I see here is a PLOT HOLE.

Also, when the helicopter pilot says "This man is not our enemy". I cringed. Wait, did you see the amount of damage his fight just caused? How many people were killed there? Or the buildings were just empty?

In the end it seemed like Superman just brought his fight onto the neighbour's yard, destroying his house in the process, making him a bit of an *******. I felt like screaming, GO FIGHT SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU MORONS!

Oh, and the last scene. He kills Zodd by twisting his neck. Oh Gawd.

Did you not notice that Zod killed the council for this very reason? It was politics that killed Krypton. The rest of your points are also invalid. I think you're just mad because it deviated, yet expanded, from the comic book. The movie within itself is very coherent.

how is anything I said invalid? Zod made bad choices that made absolutely no sense in context to the movie; Krypton was doomed for the worst and a completely avoidable fate, the plot writing was shoddy at best, and Krypton made no sense either.

Serenity, 8/10. Found it a lot more enjoyable than Firefly.

The Score (2001) 7.1/10

An old fashioned heist thriller, satisfying with its' deceptions, plus decade old technology fetishes of the day.
James Caan in 'Thief' set the standard for this type of film.

Well, the show was meant to drag out this planned storyline with adventures and character development dropping tiny clues along the way, whereas the movie took what they hoped were countless future seasons and compressed them with no "filler" into 1.5 hours of a dense adventure which still had the feel of the show. I like both but they are kind of hard to compare for me...

I'd also give it about an 8/10 though lol.

I'd give it an 8.5/10.

This question was asked at the Comic Con last year. Would the endings be different had Firefly not been cancelled?  Joss Whedon replied that "I wouldn't have killed any character".

But, as much as I liked the movie, I'd still like the show to come back. There's a dearth of good Sci-Fi shows as of now.
