Have you seen "Open Range"? That's one of the best westerns ever made IMO.

Project X (2012): 7.5/10

Review: It was a funny, interesting and exciting movie, since the party is so crazy and wild. It was pretty good in terms of story, I liked the Jimmy Kimmel part, and overall a good movie. It's one of those movies that doesn't get boring after many times watching it. (This is not my first time watching it).

Mama - 5/10

Great concept, poor execution. It was honestly horrendously boring. Hardly any scares and it just felt dragged out.

Heard from some friends it was scarier than Insidious or Sinister and they're absolute idiots. Last time I listen to them about movies.

Yes it´s good too.

Iron Lady latest.

6/10 if it wasn´t for Meryl Streeps total transformation that just make you buy her it would rate much lower.

Well done though.

I wonder if "Stalingrad" is going to be released in the US. This movie will be run on IMAX theaters in 3D ( October 2013).

I've watched another movie by this director Fedor Bondarchuk called the "9th Company" ( 2005, about the Soviet-Afghanistan war) which I didn't really enjoy. But "Stalingrad" is going to be a rich visual experience at least with a lot of bucks spent on production ( $30 million).

9th Company battlescene #1

Trance ( 2013), director Danny Boyle

From one review:

Why isn’t Vincent Cassel a huge star in the U.S.?

One of the reasons I watched Trance was because of Vincent Cassel. I'm not a fan of the director Danny Boyle. His movies were fun to watch but nothing special so the next thing which attracted me was the cast. I' haven't watched McAvoy so far. I liked his performance and took notice of him. Vincent Cassel was charismatic as always but his role didn't have enough impact.

I enjoyed Trance and its twists. The display of Dawson's genitals was the culmination of the movie though it might sound ridiculous. A reviewer ( she) says it's unfair:

Male viewers are not interested in seeing actors showing full-frontal nudity; however, it is insulting that Dawson did it (as a gift to her at-that-time lover, director Danny Boyle?), but we never see McAvoy’s genitals. It cheats the audience. Why her and not him?

I already get HBO so this was on a few nights ago.  Watched from beginning to end.  Not as bad as I thought it would be.  Decent graphics and action.  Story was implausible but I've seen worse plot lines.  On the downside the studio spent serious dime on the action but decided to go with a few amateur actors (B. Decker) and several other extras that were distracting at best.  The script was corny and somewhat predictable.

Overall grade 5.5/10

Yeah, I've seen Seagal movies worse than Battleship....lol. But some of the things the good guys attempt and pull off, in the latter part of the movie, are almost as unbelievable as the studio's claim that this movie is based on the board game. smile_phones.gif

Rust and Bone (2012): 7/10

It's a bit indulgent, and strays from what works a little too far in the final act, but it's still a film worth watching, even if only to admire the fine lead performances and pretty cinematography.

Sinister - 8/10

Love love loved it. Much less gore than I expected but it all worked out because it was great. The ending is a bit cheesy, but also a satisfying pay off.

Skyfall - 7/10

Pretty much 'Meh'. It was okay but I still don't think Craig is a very good actor. I love the rest of the cast though. Q, M, etc.

Heroes-starring Jet Li 7/10

This movie was awesome when I saw it 10 years or so ago.

Fight Club (1999): 10/10

Review: I've never been a huge movie fan. I haven't seen a lot of movies, since most of today's movies are boring for me, I'm kinda starting to see masterpieces now. Movies like Requiem For A Dream, Inception, Into The Wild and Fight Club (just a few examples) are the movies I enjoy. Great story, great characters, great development, and overall great movies. I'm tired of the "The Good Guy Always Wins" type of film, that's why I like these. As you can see, I also gave Into The Wild a perfect 10, I'm going to review Requiem For A Dream and Inception too if you want me to. I loved Fight Club, one of my Top 10's. The story is brilliant, a proof of how you can be your worst enemy. You can conquer yourself and destroy yourself, your conscience can be really tough on you. I'll watch it again to catch the little details so I can understand the movie a lil' bit better.

I'm downloading Memento and Taxi Driver. Let's see how good they are.

Well in the 10 seconds it took you to right that you missed about 15 things, so you'll obviously need to watch it again. lol
