I'm a fan of Ms. Sevigny and while she's quite attractive otherwise, they showed her penis a bit too often for my taste.

It was highly entertaining (8.5/10), but sadly it will not be returning for a second season.

She was fantastically cute in Whit Stillman's The Last Days of Disco. In fact so was Kate Beckinsale, who is usually always on the sultry side.

Lincoln (2012)

Rating: 7.5/10

Amazing performances from all actors, and a ton of random stars pop up though it's 2.5 hours. Daniel Day-Lewis was the most human, and charming, and flawed Lincoln I've ever seen on screen. The movie runs very very long though and feels it since 90% of the movie is dialogue, speech, more dialogue, inspiring speech and then...even more dialogue. But it's an interesting look into the actual politics and struggle Lincoln went into, even at one point facing near-impeachment to ensure enough votes for the 13th amendment and forever changing the course of American history.

However, it's one of those movies that I'm glad I saw once, but will probably never watch again. Like Schindler's List.

Oh and the cinematography is as beautiful as the acting too.

Fantastic Mr Fox 10/10

Watched it the third time yesterday.

Saw the Hobbit.  1 hour mind numbing Tolkien setup, 2 hours dwarves swinging things at orcs.  Should have been half as long... or rather should have been the entire story crammed into a 3 hour movie.  I loved LOTR but this is a 4/10.

A Bridge Too Far - 5/10

Possibly one of the worst war movies i've seen. Down there with "Sea Wolves" and "Anzio".

Looper: 10/10: to watch this movie, you have to look past certain major plotholes (it is a time travel movie). The action is pretty good, the graphics are amazing, the idea is amazing, the storyline is really good, first movie I've ever watched with Bruce Willis as a genuine main character (disregarding Expendables 2) and I think, given his background, despite his good acting, it seems weird to seem him cry. And the finale is incredible, the emotional element to this movie is unbelievably well incorporated with the action, the two go amazingly well hand in hand. The movie does contain some unnecessarily gory scenes, but it adds to the atmosphere.

Lawless [8.2/10]: I watched it after reading all of the good recommendations here. My wife and I both enjoyed it, but I guess that I liked it a little less than you guys....

Well,I just took a look at: My Way (2011) 7.4/10 with subtitles.
Crisp scenes with terrific sound.
Big budget Korean WW2 storyline, you will rethink what having a bad day really means after viewing this epic.
Catch this if you have the time.

Watched 30 Minutes or Less tonight and it was pretty good. I wasn't expecting much even though there are some decent actors in it but it turned out much better than I thought it would. Pretty funny and a decent plot.

Had a very enjoyable night at the (home) movies tonight...this one was as good as advertised and was based on a few themes/subjects that are some of my favorites - courtroom dramatics, Catholicism, and cops. It has Hitchcock at the helm and stars a young Montgomery Clift and Karl Malden. Certainly held my interest throughout and I give it solid marks overall.

"I Confess" - 8.8.10

Such a fantastic film. I haven't seen it for well over five years, so it felt very refreshing as if I had seen it for the first time. I loved every minute of it. The special effects were brilliant along with the "futuristic" (and purely analogue) score. The photography was excellent and very surrealistic in appearance.

Overall rating is a 4 out of 5.
