It just came out in theaters late November,it's tanking quickly (low budget film) so DVD should appear in no time.
Good movie to watch while cooking or surfing the web,not plunked in a theater seat.

That's hilarious..... In other words "good movie to watch as long as you aren't really watching it" lmao. biggrin.gif

Superman is probably my least favorite superhero of all time, but the trailer has me intrigued. I will have to approach the film with 'cautious optimism.' ^^

The last movie I watched was Lawless, it was AMAZING! 9/10!

I also enjoyed it, though not even close to The Dark Knight. My best friend who is a serious comic geek loathed it. But I still think Chris Nolan makes some weird directing choices though, especially with the action sequences i.e. the completely random change from day-to-night during the first chase scene after Bane attacks the stock market. But really, that's just splitting hairs.

Also, I suggest anyone that is curious about the tone of the new Superman movie, needs to look up the new trailer that was released for Man of Steel. Looks pretty amazing. And darker toned. I rate the trailer (just to keep this thread more on topic) a 9/10

Actually I'll do you one better-

I am very excited for the new superman, it's gonna be epic. To be honest I didn't like any super hero movies this year, hopefully they are better next year.

My two favorite superhero movies so far are the dark knight and Thor.

So true...the last Superman film was pretty boring, mainly because I felt Kevin Spacey wasn't right for Lex Luthor at all. He's one of my favorite actors, don't get me wrong...but Michael Shannon as General Zod will be FAR more intimidating and dark than Spacey's version of Luthor. I don't know much about Henry Cavill, but I know lots about Mr Shannon....and it's all good. Amazing casting decision, IMO.

The Baytown Outlaws (2012) 7.4/10

Amazon instant video before theaters.
Action comedy that brings out that Southern fried whup-ass.
Elements of Sin City (2005) and a dash of Mad Max (1979)
Or if you prefer a redneck version of Smokin' Aces (2006).
No matter,I liked this one.Eva Longoria doesn't hurt the eyes either.

I haven't watched those movies but the following comment is interesting.

“Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing
what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it
is to have a boyfriend.” - Stephen King

It is really amazing how the first two Aliens movies were so good and the 3rd one was such a piece. How could they kill such a great series with that piece of crap? Well I'll try to block it out of my mind and remember the series how the 2nd one ended. Rippley, Newt (the little girl), and Hicks on their way home into the stars.... Alien 3 was just a horrible horrible film.

Aliens 2 was pure awesomeness...such great memories from that film!

I know I saw 3, but I honestly don't have any recollection of it. Sounds like that's probably a good thing
