I like what Craig has done with the series.

I was almost certain of that when you credited Zombie's part in the Beavis movie.
With thousands of films we can only watch a few and never know them all, those two Rob Zombie movies deserved a bump, last rated in the thread 2008.

If they could've froze Connery in time,he was the most suave agent of the lot, always exuding respect and control.

Tracy Letts did the screenplay for Killer Joe (2011) 6.9/10
I'll go with what his mother reportedly said about his work:"Everbody in Tracy's stories gets naked or dead".

Do we all have a defining event that circles overhead our entire lives?
It seems more relevant for actors and the various roles they choose for work.
Couldn't score Looper more than 7/10,just the sight of Jeff Daniels conjures up his old Dumb and Dumber episodes.
Again in Killer Joe,seeing Mathew McConaughey calls to mind his 1999 arrest in Austin, Texas.
A neighbor called to complain about music blaring from the actor's crib.
When cops arrived, they found McConaughey dancing around in the buff and playing bongo drums, weed bong on the coffee table, with a male friend.Don't ask.

If you've been wondering where Gina Gershon has been, look here, just as hot as ever!

I know a couple of you guys posted reviews of The Amazing Spider Man earlier in the thread. Even with mostly positive feedback, I really wasn't keen on seeing it anytime soon cause I thought Sony was rushing a re-boot of a franchise that I was already tiring of. I understand why they did it, cause it's a huge cash cow for them....everybody likes Spidey. But I had a chance to see it last night so I went ahead and tried to have an open mind. Well, in short, I was really impressed. I liked several elements of the Raimi films, but at the same time they felt a tad bit too cartoonish in certain aspects. I thought the new film got rid of that, and it almost had a more "real life" feel to it. I found myself having to suspend my disbelief far less often with this film than I had during the previous installments. It didn't hurt that some of my favorite actors were in play here, including Emma Stone, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, and Rhys Ifans, whom I consider to be one of the must underrated character actors working right now. I could take him or leave him when it comes to Andrew Garfield, but he's slowly winning me over. I thought he was great in The Social Network, and he did a far better job as Spidey than I ever thought he would. So, it's with quite a bit of surprise that I say....

The Amazing Spiderman - 8.4/10

(and I'm really looking forward to the sequel)

I agree...everyone I know has a different favorite. I know people who will say Timothy Dalton was never appreciated for how well he did in the role, that Sean Connery was the ONLY true Bond....that Roger Moore was awful....that Brosnan was their favorite....etc, etc. I guess that's a healthy thing for the franchise overall since at some point there has been a Bond that has appealed to nearly everyone. I often wonder how past Bonds would fare if they were in the role today...I'm a bit biased since Casino Royale became my favorite Bond film of all time (and I've seen all of them, so that's really saying a lot), but I think Craig is a great choice for the 2012 version of the character. I heard he signed on for a few more films, so we'll see if he stands the test of time, or if Morbid's point about a lack of range proves correct and people lose interest.

I need to see this...I was blown away by the original, as discussed earlier in the thread....glad you enjoyed this one as much as you did! I'm going to add this to the list for the weekend.

Red State- Oh god what. 9/10, it's a great movie and makes me afraid to go to the south...or ya know Texas. The development of characters could be better but man it's a nail biter and a really twisted vision of religion and religious zealots in the US.

It was the 2004 original that I just saw. I will look for number 2 though! Thanks!

Mansome- Ridiculous/10  Documentary examining what defines masculinity. I did enjoy it, no matter how silly I found it to be.

Almost watched Mansome earlier today. Might now.

This one was an even bigger surprise than the Amazing Spiderman...thoroughly enjoyed this last night...easily my favorite of the three. I had read that this film was having problems and the production was all over the place in terms of plot development, etc. I thought it was pretty coherent and fun.

MIB 3 - 8.4/10

District 13:Ultimatum (2009) 7.9/10

It used to be B-13 because Banlieue 13 was the first one (2004) in French.
It's translated to District-13.
Not to be confused with the Sci-Fi movie District 9 (2009)

Very nice Parkour and Freerunning scenes, belies the actors background in acrobatics.

More believable than Looper as far as the future goes.
Gets a little over the top with some martial arts fight scenes.
Great not to see Vin Diesel or the like running around in this French film.
Found myself humming 50 Cent's "Candy Shop" while the backing track played at some points.
Liked the sole female star in D-13:U,great face tattoo.
She also starred in the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo 6.9/10 (2011) with Daniel Craig.
Nowhere near as good as the original foreign version.

Red State (2011) 6.8/10 saw this when first out.
Similar to the Waco siege and massacre involving the Branch Davidians.
Hasn't diminished my love for Texas,I spent holidays there twice.
BBQ and those girls with the Texas drawl just works for me.
Nice country song at the end by Adam Lee & The Dead Horse Sound Company - Cheating' Loving' and Leaving'

Trick or Treat now here is a funny Halloween video Zombie Drive-Thru Prank (2012) 8.5/10
