You could increase the output coupling capacitors to more realistic values (the ones in it are a bit small even for most high impedance phones, once you take phase distortion into account). They're a bit of a pain to get on on the current 336i though, since they added that PCB.

I have a little question about using the 336i as a pre-amp :

If I turn the volume wheel that will increase the sound as a normal pre-amp ? or don't increase the sound and in fact it's just a line-out ?

It would control the sound like a normal pre-amp.

Another question :

There is a mod for be able to use low impedance headphone as well as high impedance headphone ?

My Alessandro MS2 really sound bad compare to when I use it with C&C Xo portable amp :/

I'm not sure, but I use headphones from 32 Ohm's to 600 Ohm's (AKG 240M) and this amp responds nicely from the lowest of the low, to the highest of the high's.

I have NO idea, and I don't know what to tell you in regards to your other amp. You should hear a difference (for better) in the 336i, not the opposite.

Has anyone compared the Darkvoice 336 with the Woo Audio 3 ? Or with the Doge ? What are the differences between them ?

Unfortunately I did not have the 336i and the WA3at the same time to compare - that would have been interesting. From memory, I would say that they are very competitive, both offering excellent sound. Both are well built. I personally think the 6SN7 is a better sounding and less microphonic tube than the 6DJ8/6922 that the WA3 uses, but the WA3 truly sounds excellent. I'd call it a toss-up. The WA3 is more expensive, but it's easier to get, and would be easier to get fixed, than the 336i.

Finally when I went back France and I got back my RCA tubes the problem disappeared : I was using a sylvania as rear tubes and it was sounding really ugly : if I use the RCA as rear tube everything is perfect.

Now I use the RCA in the back and the sylvania VT 231 in front

I hear short side tone every 3-5 minutes. The amp don't attach to sound source. AC and headphones only ...
I want to change the lamps. Is it right?

Yes, that is a tube with a problem. You should replace the tubes.

I just purchsed a 336i from the FS forum, and a ZERO as a dac, to power my DT-880 250 ohm. What should I expect? I believe the amp is already burned in.
