Its a great phone and easy to use and its driven my headphones well so far!

To update in depth shortly.

I loved these buds to bits, they were the perfect everyday headphone. Small and light and comfortable and barely protruded past the outside of your ears. I like the fact that no one can really...

These and the PL30 are terrible quality buds, I went through both of them in less than 8 months. Both times they failed they left me in an awkward position where I really needed earbuds for...

I am so glad that I went because there were quite a few impressive items there! Most notably devin's ATH-W5000 and rich's Darths...also the meet made me realize that I need a better 1/8 to 1/4 adapter like that Grado one.
And joneeboi your mallet max was quite amazing too! I'd love one for my birthday lol.
The turnout was quite good too especially thanks to the members that drove to Edmonton from out of the city.

Here are some pictures. Mind you these are off the camera that stayed for only about 15 minutes.
Here we have part of devin_mm's rig, Macbook Pro to Benchmark DAC1 and Sennheiser HD650. We didn't have any balanced amps AFAIK, so it was weird listening to the balanced HD650s straight out of the DAC1.

The littlest 160GB hard drive feeding the computer.

Some more of devin_mm's estate. That Gilmore Lite was truly something else. Wish I could have spent more time with it.

My friend, Rich, listening to AlanY's HF1s on my Millett MAX.

Leoseller7's MASantos Alien DAC on devin_mm's Macbook Pro. Did anyone get it to work?

eric.w's HD600s.

eric.w's rig.

devin_mm's K701s.

Yuk_Fai's stuff (I think).

devin_mm's HeadRoom Micro and Gilmore Lite.

Yuk_Fai's Accura SR660(?)

Sowlinyin with devin_mm's W5000s. I think he was doing homework while listening to a saxophone version of "My Heart Will Go On."

devin_mm and Leoseller7 chatting it up.

AlanY, joneeboi, and some of joneeboi's friends.

From the right is Yuk_Fai and eric.w.

Nice shirt with the pink headphones on it.
Next time I come out to visit my Mom I'll have to see about attending one of your meets. Looks like you guys had fun.

I have a few pictures somewhere else. I'll upload those later.
Impressions:
HeadAmp Gilmore Lite: These had some pretty spectacular highs. I had never heard such clear cymbal reproduction. I should really like to get to listen to it again. Such a quick impression though.
Darth Beyers V3 (DT770): Bass monsters indeed. Beautiful wood. It was mrarroyo's old pair. I have never been so scared from listening to Explosions in the Sky's All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone album. I was expecting the sound to explode, but the bass really took me by surprise.
Audio Technica W5000: These things were crazy comfortable. Such a hazy sound. The highs were very muffled, but that comfort is so appealing.
Grado Labs SR60: I got to hear the stock SR60s again. The closeness of the drivers was something I missed. And also the muffling of the highs too. I can't say I miss the comfies that much.
Truth is I never had a chance to really listen all that critically to anything. It was so close to midterms that the general lack of ability of feel anything was still imminent. Maybe I'll repost impressions later.

AKG701s - simply beautiful headphones, but not as comfortable as I like them to be:

ATH-W5000s - wow these have got to be hands down the MOST comfortable headphones I have ever tried...although the sound did seem a little muffled compared to most other high-end headphones I have listened to:

joneeboi's DJ friend's cool DJ gear:

Darths!!! a little heavy and the BASS is realllly good...the most bass I have ever heard and good quality bass too. Amazing!

sowlinyin's ZVM with the face plate ripped off 0_o...notice the AKG701s in the reflection makes this quite a cool picture lol.

joneeboi, his DJ friend, devin_nm, eric.w checking out what we had of the vinyl setups:

sorry I'm pretty ignorant as to which DAC this is...:S and I think these are senn-650s??

my 2nd gen 8gig nano plugged into a DAC (once again I forgot which one that was...oh my)

my Senn-595s: love them =D

my LDM+ with ALO cotton mini to mini plugged in:

ATH-W5000, and the Grado 1/4 to mini adapter that I really ought to get:

sowlinyin typing up a lilstening report while trying out devin_nm's GS1000s

A nice meet quite a few people turned out so I was happy and I got to hear a few things I hadn't before. It's a shame you didn't make it mb3k I was looking forward to your amps but there was talk of a Calgary meet so I'll have to go to that. It's a shame that the vinyl rigs didn't work oh well there is always next time.
A few impressions:
Darthbayers: Very nice looking headphones, but for my taste I found the bass way too overpowering. I thought the vocals (especially in The Beatles - Here Comes the Sun) got lost in the bass, it's as if you are sitting on the stage with the bass but the vocals are some where near the back of the crowd. The wood made the headphones a little heavy on the head but not too bad. Overall an interesting headphone, makes me want to hear a stock Bayer.
HD600s: I personally have the HD650s but I loved the sound of the 600s. I find the bass a little overpowering with the 650s in kind of the same way as the Darths but the vocals get nowhere near as lost; where as the 600s are quite a bit more forward, to me it feels as if they took a 650 and moved it's range up a quite a bit.

Bummer, looks like I missed out on a really good meet! I was hoping that I'd be able to drop by at the end, but we wound up working on our report past 8:00. Got enough of it done to hand it in yesterday, though.
Hopefully the next meet won't coincide with a clusterflop of assignments and midterms so I can actually go!

There was talk of perhaps having another one in January (in Edmonton?) so that some of the gear that some people bought would get in by that time. We were expecting the Pico and Headsix amongst a host of other things. Seems most people didn't bring their true vinyl gear due to lack of information. Leoseller7 volunteered to organize the next one in Calgary, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.
