I am flabergasted that $700+ headphones have such a outpoint in them, and that you need to use such "basic" measures to adress the problem!
Not all of us feel they have those problems.
I certainly don't discount Markl's opinion.. he has tons of experience with headphones and I look forward to his reviews.
But I love the D5000 the way they are. I wouldn't want to lessen the amount of bass one iota.
Wow, Markl. Quite a bold statement. Makes me quite happy to know that I have the best headphones on the market. sans modding, of course. I like the bass response. Who knows, maybe in a few years I'll prefer less of it. I just wish there was a way you could improve the soundstage without affecting the bass.
