Because if they did make "an affordable balenced solution, for everyone", they would sell a grand total of 10 amps....very few ppl are actually running balenced. Keep in mind that in this niche its relatively difficult to sell equipment. Just because it makes sense to build a dual mono with balenced output, doesnt mean it makes sense to sell it.
LD is a great company, but it has to complete against the big boys, the way it does so is offering tremendous bang-for-buck...balenced ouput does not fit into this, they would improve sound quality slightly but decrease their sales greatly. They need sales to continue their research/development.
I think theyre on the right track...

It seems its 299 + ~50 shipping.


It'd want to be good and significantly better than the original master at twice the price.

And the other thing - -its bloody big, approx 12" by 8" by 2.5" and 3.5kg (8lb) weight. Doesn't look that big in the pics...

I'd like to hear it....
