Pink Floyd 24k Gold CD's Worth? - Page 2

Problem with Ebay is that I would have to charge 40+ for shipping to cover the cost of fees, and now they charge a percentage of how much it's sold for which sux huge when I may get more then 200 for the albums. Plus I would love to have someone here who could appreciate the rarity and sound quality of the cd purchase it.

I'm not a huge collector and have no need for these cd's as my uber headphone rig is gone and I'm spending my hard earned money on other things

What you really want is a transfer from the master tapes. I heard such a version for Money, and it puts the MOFI to shame.

Nope, I'm not. That thread is about ripping CDs that you own and keep. It's entirely different if you rip a CD that you own and then sell the CD, keeping the rip on your computer. While I'm not saying that RIAA and copyright laws are right or make sense, what the OP would be doing is no different than downloading a song without paying for it. That's a crime, and as we've seen, people ARE getting sued for it. Heck, I've represented a person in a CRIMINAL copyright infringement case for illegally copying CDs. It's a felony.

Oh and while we're at it, I just don't get the deal with the MoFi Wall. I've had it. The bass is too bloomy, the mids are muddy, and the treble is eq'd way down. It sounds like crap. You can get the best sounding Wall CD for like $5 or less on ebay. Just look for the Columbia C2K 36183 number on the spine and on the CD label. Way more natural and open-sounding than the MoFi version.

It's not all about the sound its the rarity of the album. I expect somebody who's into collecting to purchase these cds.

Erik C

Why, because it dosen't further the discussion of this thread I asked what the worth of the cds was, not what the implications of selling the cds were and then keeping a copy on my computer.

I appreciate y'er concern in assuming that i will sell them and keep them on my computer, however i would have appreciated the concern brought to my attention via a pm and not my thread.

Thank technology their racket is up. It's a felony because they have so much money from ripping the artist off, they can spend it on ideology. Of course, the politicians are only too ready to take it. They're screaming about theft, what came around comes around.

Sorry OP, this bs burns me up.
