3G Nano Owners: Better than 2G or What?

Still seeing conflicting opinions (yes, shocking isn't it?) as to whether or not 3G Nano sounds better than 2G. I wanted to begin another discussion on the topic, now after you've had the player for a while and have 'settled in' to using it.

Is it better than 2G? Is that annoying mushiness still there? Love to buy one but have to know.

No comparism, the 3g steps all over the 2g, better bass, better treble, more detailed than 2g. Especially with the e500's, audition one and see what you think

Sorry, thats through the HO, I need an amp again More $ going bye bye. Never ever sell a good amp!

Here is a link showing how each of the iPod devices compare and compares them with some other devices. I really don't necessarily know how to interpret this info but check it out.

The 3G Nano is great with my UE11's and all other earphones I have tested it with and that is without an amp.

it is unfortunate you showed that link - it showed the ipod basically doing as well as dac that cost 1700$ usd. it beat the kenwood and did as well as the toshiba gigabeat.

never ever show graphs. a machine is not listening for preferences and unfortunately is objective. one interesting thing about sound quality to humans is that a little noise in the signal is important for us to feel safe or something. every player that has been noted as having good sound quality ends up having quite a bit of noise.

naturally, the ipod 4g was rubbish as the guy said. whatever happens, this thread should not go public, there would be a lynching - as we do not need linear representations of noise - unforgiveable!
