Just ordered an ATH-es7 : ) Few questions

So i just decided, after doing some research that the es7 seemed to be a pretty good fit. Can't wait to get it! There are a few questions that I have about it, and pink noise.

1. Where can I get a decent loop of pink noise for free, that is actually pink noise, and a good quality one.

2. Does pink noise need to go at different pitches and stuff? Or do you just play the same stretch at the same pitch for hours. Also I heard someone saying they put 2 minutes of silence between every 20 minutes or so of pink noise. Is that a good idea?

Just wondering, because when I get the headphones I want to be ready to burn them in asap. If you have any other pink noise / burning in suggestions or advice please tell. Thanks!

There's a few threads regarding pink noise. Not sure if you want to download a 200mb wav though.

So I would just play this 20 minute wav on repeat for a day or two? Does it change in pitch or is this just find to play this wav over and over. Should I put some silence in between each 20 minute wav? thanks : )

along with the above question, you guys think these headphones will be ok with a relatively small head. Because that is what I have . J/w, hopefully they will : ).

Since pink noise is noise it doesn't have a pitch because it contains sounds of all frequencies at once. When I burnt my ES7 in (I didn't find it to have any effect) I had a loop of 10 seconds noise and 1 second silence. The combination shouldn't matter as long as it is getting enough noise.

I found they sounded better the more I used them not the longer I burnt them in. The ES7 sound takes a while to get used to.

Don't be so hasty I say. Just use them, and let them burn in naturally. That way you get the full enjoyment and experience!

edit: oh yeah, don't be blasting the volume too high, you don't want to damage them.

1. They'll be fine on a small head.
2. Burn 'em in the old fashioned way; on your head, with music.
3. Mine have many hundreds of hours on them now, and they sound the same as when I took them out of the box.

When I burned my ES7's in I just took them to work and hooked them up to my backup player (Sansa E260). Hit play all and let them go. I would pick them up peirodically and check them out (using the same song as reference point). After about 50 hours you could really start to notice an improvement. The headband mod by the way will definitely improve the fit if they are a little tight.

alright thanks everyone : ) . I think I will just end up just listening to them and playing regular music for a day or so after I get them, then maybe try some pink noise.

ahh, I hate waiting for things to arrive. I ordered the headphones on thursday last week, and I was hoping they would arrive today or tomorrow, but I just got an email from amazon saying that they just got shipped today. This waiting is killing me . I want them now : ).
