The isolation is DEFINITELY better in the HD25-1 - much better. The isolation on the ESW9 is only fair. They won't bother people next to you, but they won't cut it on the subway.

The ESW9's are smoother than the HD25-1. They HD25-1's are on the borderline of being too bright in the treble. The ESW9 isn't. Much smoother. Also a warmer lower midrange. This is just a sound signature that I prefer. YMMV.

IIRC as of last week - including shipping to USA and applicable PayPal fees - Bluetin was about $280, PriceJapan about $300, and AC was $295.

edit: Bluetin is more expensive than their Japanese affiliate. Here is a link to their Japan site.

edit 2: An ESW9 delivered to USA from Bluetin Japan costs $290-$295 depending on shipping method.

I'm kinda happy I live in Tokyo ^^ I've seen them for 20 000 yen here, which is about $180. Still wondering about the stuff I mentioned before, if anyone cares to answer it I would be most grateful
