Wharfedale Diamond 8.1- fantastic bargain!

I just got these speakers yesterday. I quickly unpacked them, bi-wired them to my integrated amp, and whammo! I was initially dissapointed by bass response, slam, and treble clarity, but its lush midrange sounded so realistic. It's a fantastic bargain at $200 and I recommend them to anyone with a small room and small budget.

Has anyone else heard them? If not, please try em' out. They were easily comparable to the pricier Paradigms I also auditioned. It was no contest, the Wharfedales just stomped on them.

Well if they are anything like my 7.2 Anniversary models, just give them a little time to break in and you should be even happier.

Double check your bi-wiring.
It's very easy to mistakenly wire something out of phase, thus causing muddy bass and/or treble response.
(If you single wire and it sounds better, then this was it)

I was thinking about these for a while, but decided to go with PSB Alpha A/V's instead. It was a tossup between these, sound dynamics RTS-3's, and Michauras.

The Michauras were all gone, so i went with PSB's.
