iRiver H140 optical out not working

Hi i got an H140 that refuse to output optical. I turned him on the iRiver firmware and try it with rockbox but it didn't work. Do i need to find a plugin for my rockbox or something or what? I use it with my D1 wich work with other toslink setup. Thank you for your help.

there is a setting in rockbox to turn it on, which i assume you have done, i didnt have to add or use a 'plugin' when i hit that option the red light instantly came on, and vice versa.

settings-->general settings-->playback-->optical output (rockbox)

my optical didnt function when the firmware is 1.1x

just update it to 1.63...it work fine
