Mini cable technical difficulty

Hi, I am new in to headphones and this site has helped me chose a fun rig, so thank you. My problem today is that the right channel is gone when my brand new black dragon mini-to-mini are plugged in between my imod and headphonia amp and when between the laptop and tivoli model twos. If I am really tricky about the depth in which I instert it in to the headphonia jack I can get a faint signal from the right channel. I am not sure whether the absent signal is due to a defective cable or a problem with anatomy of the plugs and jacks or something else...I am asking for a possible diagnosis, so I have some knowledge when I contact Moon audio.

Do you have the same problem with a different mini to mini?

No, the stock mini works well. the only difference I can see between them is that the blackdragon's jacks have slightly wider black bands that I think seperate left and right. Sorry, i don't know the construction well and had no success trying to find it. thanks

I don't think it's the connectors/plugs. Sounds like a problem with the wires inside so give them an email.
