who do u call when u knocked down a tree.....

that knocked down another tree which knocked down a stop signboard.

I called the number from the signboard and they say they will be here next week to replace it.

So the question is who to call for the trees? Do I call the local community centre for this?

I managed to put one of the trees up again but its top 1/4 part is being splinted off while the roots looks intact to me. Is it going to survive?

Just in case you were wondering, I didnt do it, but a female middle aged member of my family did.

TIMBER!

I thought it said: what do you call when you knocked down a tree?
Hope your family member was uninjured?

if you manage to get the tree back upright and the roots more or less intact, it should survive.

almost all of the trees in my campus got knocked down by a storm bout 6 years ago. tipped them back into place and they're still around to this day.

she wasnt, the air bag didnt even open. The tree was relatively young i guess, probably about 5m but its pretty thin. Im just starting to wonder if the trees belong to the community or our neighbour.

lol, never ever let her live this down...so it won't happen again.

If the tree is on the sidewalk most likely it belongs to the neighborhood.

If anyone asks, just say the tree jumped in front of your car.

The split tree will be fine. As long as there is even a small connection between the two halves, it'll keep growing.

If the other tree is on property that you own, I think it becomes you're responsibility to deal with it. If the tree was on public land, fell and is blocking your path, it becomes the cities responsibility. That is how we came to understand it when we wanted to actually remove a couple of trees and de-branch a couple of others.

While the trees are on public land, the problem is it didnt fall by itself. Someone had witnessed her hit it. I was simply pretty glad that she knocked down the tree that is at the end of the street. If she were to hit it right from the beginning I think I will see an extended domino effect.
