Also, the difference between the standard and audiophile brickwall protectors is the audiophile one has an independent circuit for every power plug, by independent meaning designed such that any noise is isolated from the other plugs. What this means topologically I don't know, but I think Brickwall has the schematics somewhere on their site.
That being said, any well designed TV should be "quiet" enough that it's inaudible. I would go a step further to say it would have to be improperly designed or defective for it to pollute the power to the point that it is audible, especially with basic filters in your audio gear.

I'm resuscitating this thread because I just added, perhaps stupidly, a Samsung LCD TV to my listening room and it has caused an unacceptablly loud hum in my turntable rig whenever the TV is plugged in, including when its on standby. The TT is grounded and used to be dead quiet. They are plugged in to separate outlets. The TT and TV are a good ten feet apart.
I've been procrastinating on getting a Brickwall for the audio gear. I'm going to order it now and hope it solves the problem, but I'm not optimistic.
