You can get at least two top of the line laptops for the price of the UE11. They are so cheap now. I could purchase 4 UE10 when I paid for my laptop in 2003 and still gotten a good laptop these days.

So true, Canadians are getting ripped... A car that costs $16,000 here cost around $11,000 in the US. It's ridiculous, even with headphones we get ripped... look at the price of Grados here in Toronto... $99 for SR-60s plus 14% tax... That's $112

I wish I had $1k to spend on just headphones...I'd definetely get the UE-11s if I had that kind of money, but unfortunately I'm just a poor high school student.

Check out the equipment in the UE11 first impressions thread. Those portables require a down payment on your soul!

With just tears and blood, I'll finish mine in January.

I just estimated my mostly finished transportable rig to be about $2880 not including shipping or accessories.

The UE11 are wonderful though, I'm giving them love right now.
